Who we are Working Alternatives is new associaiton developed with the aim to deliver positive Regeneration and sustainability solutions in our most disadvantaged communities. Employability, Enterprise and Training solutions.
Our aim is to form true partnership with voluntary and community sector organisations and people form local communities to help them achieve their aspirations. Unique partnership Working Alternatives could not be successful without doing “what it says on the tin” we aim to work in partnership with Public Sector such as Local Authorities, Primary Care trusts and the National Offender Management Service. We understand that the Private Sector has a valuable and increasingly important role to play in regeneration of our most deprived communities so we aim to forge strong relationships that enable us to develop a model that encourages employer led engagement. We pride ourselves on our relationships and unique integrated working with the 3rd sector Voluntary and Community Groups. Genuinely Unique Working Alternatives is a community based regeneration, enterprise, training and employability provider. We seek to genuinely combine the expertise of three sectors in one common aim, Working Alternatives has been developed to address the real needs of today’s jobseekers and employers by utilising strengths and addressing the capacity gaps in partnerships between the 3 sectors. Helping the people to help themselves
Working with our partners we want ot help as many unemployed people to return to the world of work, self employment, education or training as possible. This can has only be achieved by working in true partnership with local people. Delivering for them, not at them!
We don’t like labelling people the “hardest to help” Our experience shows that they are not the “hardest to help” many of them simply find it hard to access the help they need, this includes many people who have been out of work for a number of years and those who have encountered set backs in life. We believe everyone deserves opportunities to get their life back on track and contribute to the social fabric and regeneration of their communities. Our achievements Our achievements will be measured by the people we work with. This is the clients, the communities and partners if they succeed we all succeed. |
